BCS Athletics News
Our BCS Bears had a busy January with back-to-back tournaments and events all month long.

The swim team kicked things off by hosting the first ETIAC meet of the season, welcoming students from Massey-Vanier High School, Stanstead College, and Alexander Galt Regional High School on January 11. Our Bears did not disappoint, placing first in Senior Boys 200m Freestyle, , Senior Boys 50m Butterfly, Junior Boys 50m Butterfly, Junior Boys 100m Breaststroke, Senior Boys 100m Breaststroke, Junior Boys 100m Freestyle, Senior Girls 100m Freestyle, Senior Boys 100m Freestyle, Junior Boys 200m Medley Relay, and Senior Boys 200m Medley Relay.

On January 18-19, the Junior Basketball teams hosted students from nearby schools for our annual BCS Junior Invitational Basketball Tournament. The event marked our 43rd Invitational Tournament for Junior Girls, and the 25th for Junior Boys. Our teams showed a strong offence throughout the tournament despite tough competition. Priscilla was named her team's all-star player, and Ethan's determined performance on the court earned him the title for the boys’ team.

On January 25-26, our Senior Basketball teams hosted schools for the annual BCS Senior Invitational Basketball Tournament. The event marked our 43rd tournament for the Senior Girls and the 31st for the Senior Boys. Our girls had a slow start but managed to finish off strong with a win against Lower Canada College. Our boy Bears served up back-to-back wins, securing silver against Chateauguay Valley Regional in a 42-37 nail-biter.

On January 27, the Squash team hosted Tournament #4 of the Quebec Junior Circuit. This was just the second year in a row we have had the privilege of hosting this event that welcomes athletes from across Quebec to our campus. The results have been sent to Squash Quebec and are pending confirmation. Check back here soon for final results!

This coming weekend, the U18/Varsity and U16/Prep hockey teams are welcoming teams from across Canada and the United States for our 4th annual BCS Ice Hockey Showcase from January 31- February 3. With some of the top prep hockey talent in North America descending on Lennoxville, our teams will look to improve on past showcases performances that have always seen us make the semi-finals and/or finals but which we have yet to win!

We hope you’ll join us as we cap this month of tournaments.
