Welcome to McNaughton

We are confident, we are respectful, we are proud.

"I try to encourage everyone to get off the computer. We are an active house, enjoy outdoor activities, hanging out together and laughing. Nothing fancy; hanging out and getting to know one another. It’s something we all love to do. We promote togetherness. We started playing softball and developed a league. We call it 'manball.' We played two games this year and have been undefeated for the last six years." - Houseparent Ken Raban

The McNaughton legacy

McNaughton was founded in 1971 in memory of Lieutenant General A. G. L. McNaughton, a BCS student from 1901-05. After BCS, he was a Canadian scientist army officer, cabinet minister and diplomat. He fought in both world wars. From 1939-45, he was the Minister of National Defense. He then chaired the United Nations Atomic Energy Commission from 1946-48 before he became the Canadian Ambassador to the United Nations until 1949.

What we like to do

We started taping Jeopardy and hosting tournaments. We have our own little contests. We like to order smoked meat from Schwartz's Deli in Montreal, go out to eat together and attend Quebec Major Junior hockey games to cheer on the Sherbrooke Phoenix.

Bishop's College School is an independent English-language boarding and day school for grades 7 to 12 in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada.
