BCS Uniforms

UniformsHero.jpg

All BCS students wear their uniform with pride.

The Student Dress Code reflects school community standards and balances the rights of individual students with the best interests of the whole school community. The policy is consistent with health and safety considerations and anti- discrimination legislation. The Student Dress Code offers gender neutral uniform options for all students.

All students are expected to be neat and well-groomed at all times, whether at school or off campus representing BCS. Jewellery and hairstyles should be modest. Nose piercings, tongue piercings, and other facial piercings are not allowed while in school uniform. Tattoos or body modifications should not be visible. Kilts must be worn no shorter than two inches above the top of the knee.

Number One Uniform

The Number One Uniform is worn every Monday, to off-campus commitments, and on other special occasions. In the winter, students may wear a crested BCS sweater under their school blazer as part of their uniform.

Number Two Uniform

The Number Two Uniform is worn Tuesday to Friday unless otherwise indicated and there are a variety of Number Two options. In the winter, students may wear a long sleeved blue polo as part of their Number Two uniform. In the summer, students may wear a short sleeved blue polo.

A crested navy blue polo shirt may be worn as part of ‘summer dress’ (from September to the November Break, and again from after March Break until June). No vest or sweater is to be worn over the polo shirt.
