Students of all levels are welcome to participate in this fall sport, as the riding lessons are tailored to the students’ abilities. Students work with certified instructors through Le Centre Équestre Équilibre in Ascot, a neighbouring town 15 minutes from our campus. Beginners learn how to groom, tack up and basic positioning on the horse. More advanced students focus on doing ground work with a horse, walking and trotting, as well as cross-country jumping.
When not at the stable, students engage with the horses at Marguerite Levesque’s home stable, which gives them more time to work on the groundwork and further their learning experience at the stable. Here, they work on basic skills such as cleaning, checking the fence, and learning anatomy. This crease is only competitive if the skill level of the riders allows it to be so, but otherwise is an excellent opportunity for students to develop and enrich their knowledge of riding and experiences with a horse.
This sport is offered in the Spring Season, from March to June.
